Over the years startearning.com & our sister site personalzone.com have been hosted with several hosting companies but we have never found one as good as dreamhost!
Dreamhost offers tons of storage and huge amounts of bandwidth at great prices. Some of the notable features are : heaps of instant install open source software, e.g., phpbb, mediawiki, wordpress, etc., etc. Polite courteous support (by email) and a cutesy ambience - clever, funny monthly newsletters. They are continually upping their already outrageously high storage and bandwidth caps. They couldn't possibly increase the number of domains you can host on your account, because it's already unlimited.
ssh access comes as standard.
Customer service is awesome , we have never had any difficulty getting these guys to look at the few issues that we have had and they have always resolved issues very quickly.
When we find a reason not to like them we will move our sites & stop recommending them and we honestly cant see that happening any time soon.
